Delete your Mazao Online account

Mazao Online — farmers marketplace app for Tanzania

You can permanently delete your account and associated data from the Mazao Online mobile app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Steps to delete your account

1. Open the Mazao Online app on your Android device.
2. Sign in to the account you want to delete.
3. Tap Profile in the bottom navigation bar.
4. Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
5. Read the warning, check I understand that this action is permanent, then tap Delete my account.
6. Confirm in the dialog by tapping Delete.

If you signed in recently with Google or email/password, deletion completes right away. If the app asks you to sign in again, log out and sign back in, then repeat the steps above.

Data that is deleted

When you delete your account, we remove:

• Your profile (name, email, phone number, role, profile photo)
• Your product listings and listing photos (if you are a farmer/seller)
• Your orders and checkout records linked to your account
• Your product reviews
• Your Firebase Authentication login for Mazao Online

Data that may be kept

• Payment records held by our mobile money partner (Snippe) for fraud prevention, disputes, or legal obligations
• Server logs and diagnostics retained by Google Firebase for a limited period for security and reliability
• Backups that may persist briefly before automatic purge
• Any data we are required by law to retain (e.g. tax or financial records)

We do not retain your personal marketplace data after account deletion except as described above. We do not automatically delete inactive accounts within 90 days.

If you cannot access the app or complete deletion, email us at mazaoonline2026@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account. Include your registered phone number so we can verify your identity and process the request.
